RECIPE
Traditional Lahori Recipe
You'll Need:
- 1 kg cooked chickpeas (from 500g dried chickpeas)
- 2–3 tbsp Lahori Chikar Cholay Masala (or to taste)
- 500 ml water, or as needed
Tip: For softer chickpeas, add ¼ tsp baking soda while soaking or boiling dried chickpeas.
Directions:
- Add 2–3 tbsp Lahori Chikar Cholay Masala to the cooked chickpeas.
- Cook for 15–20 minutes, lightly mash a few chickpeas, and simmer until desired consistency.
- Garnish with sliced onion, green chutney, green chilies & lemon.
